Second Match: Lucknow Super Giants Vs Delhi Capitals
Hello guys, after fantastic win by Gujarat Titans over Chennai Super Kings On second day PBK beats KKR by 7 runs. As rain disturbed the match so result declare by DLS rule. In second match of second day, LSG defeat DC by 50 runs.
In First match which is held in Mohali, KKR Captain Nitish Rana Won the toss and elect to Ball first. After losing first wicket of Prabhsimran from Southee who made 23 runs in just 12 balls by 2 Fours & 2 sixes, Bhanuka Rajapaksa takes charge with Captain Shikhar dhavan. PBK made 100 runs in just 10 overs by losing only 1 wicket. PBK were moving forward to big score where as Bhanuka Rajapaksa made his 50 runs in just 30 balls. But just soon after he loose his wicket. In his 50 runs includes 5 fours & 2 sixes. The next batman Jitesh sharma loos his wicket trying to made fast runs on 21 just in 11 balls.
Soon Shikhar dhavan lost his wicket on 40 runs made in 29 balls, where PBK were made 143 runs by losing 4 wickets in 15 overs. After that Sam curran (26 runs), Sikandar Raza (16 run), Sharukh (11 runs) moves PBK’s score to 191 runs in 20 over. From KKR Southee takes 2 wickets and Umesh, Chakaravarthy, Narine take each 1 wicket.
KKR takes target of 192 run in 20 overs, Mandeep Singh & Rahmanullah Gurbaz comes on field as opening batman. But KKR lose their 2 wickets early in just 2 overs. Both the wickets were taken by Arshdeep in his first over. Mandeep goes on 2 runs whereas Anukul Roy made 4 runs. Gurbaz lose his wicket on 22 runs in 15 balls as 3rd wicket. Then Venkatesh & Nitish Rana taken the charge. They move the team’s score to 75 runs where Nitish loose his wicket on 24 runs. KKR lost 5 th wicket on 80 runs in the form of Rinku Singh. After that Andre Russell made some good shots with Venkatesh. But little rains started over. KKR lose 6 th wicket in form of Andre Russell. He made fast 35 runs in 19 balls. He looks disappointed after losing his wicket. Till time KKR were made 130 runs in 14.5 over by losing 6 wickets. Venkatesh lose his wicket on Arshdeep’s ball as 7th wickets. He made 34 runs in 28 balls. KKR made 146 runs losing 7 wickets in 16 overs. KKR needed 46 runs more to win in 24 balls. But Umpire calls to cover the wickets. But around 7.45 pm they declared PBK wins the match by 7 runs by DLS rule.
Where as in second match held between Lucknow Super Giants and Delhi Capitals in Lucknow. David warner Captain of Delhi Capitals wins the toss and elect Bowl first. KL Rahul & Kyle Mayers were opening batman’s from LSG. KL Rahul lose his wicket early on 8 runs from 12 balls. After that in fifth over Khaleel Ahmed drops catch of Kyle Mayers which was batting on 14 runs in 15 balls. Then Kyle Mayers took advantages of this and attack on DC bowlers. He made his fifty just in 28 balls and took score to 69 runs in 8.3 overs. While in his fifty he played 4 big sixes and 2 fours. LSG lose 2nd wicket on 98 runs in the form of Deepak Hooda, where he made 17runs in 18 balls, where is Kyle Mayers also lose his wicket. He made 73 runs in just 38 balls. Axar patel took his wicket. Marcus stoinis was 4th wicket from LSG. He made 12 runs from 10 Balls. Nicholas Pooran made some good shots and took forward score to 165 runs. On 36 runs in just 21 balls he loses his wicket. Ayush Badoni made 18 runs in just 7 balls in last 2 overs. Finally, LSG made 193 score on 6 wickets.
Taking 194 runs target DC players David Warner & Prithvi Shaw comes on field as opening batman’s. They made a good start for DC. But their partnership of 41 runs from 4.2 were broken by Wood. He took wicket of Shaw when he was on 12 runs in 9 balls. Wood took another wicket of Mitchell Marsh on next ball. Marsh lose his wicket on 0 runs. At this time DC made 41 run on 2 wickets. Mark wood again took his 3rd wicket of Sarfaraz Khan. He made 4 runs Whereas DC was on 48 run losing 3 wickets. Rilee Rossouw was next player. He made 30 runs from 20 balls and took DL’s score to 86 runs. After that Warner made his 50 runs from 45 balls. DL lose their sixth wicket on 112 runs. After that Warner lose his wicket on his 56 runs from 48 balls. Then Axar & Kuldeep collet some runs for DL. But in last over Wood took again 2 wickets. Finally, DC made 143 run in 20 overs and lose match from LSG by 50 runs. Mark Wood took 5 wickets in his 4 overs and gave only 14 runs. He is the first player who took 5 wickets in this IPL.
