Hello everyone, Welcome again here. We take look on match 13 between Kolkata Knight Riders vs Gujarat Titans, Where KRR Won the match by 3wickets. What a game it was today between KKR and GT. It’s Unbelievable.
The match was held in Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad. Gujarat Titans won the toss and opted to bat first. This is third match of GT, in first match they won against CSK by 5 wickets while in second match won against DC by 6 wickets. For today’s match Rashid Khan is captain of GT in absence of Hardik Pandya. This is third match of KKR and they lose first match against PBK by 7 runs while in second match won against RCB by 81 runs.
The opening batman from GT was Wriddhiman Saha and Shubman Gill. Both player made decent start for GT. Wriddhiman Saha lose his wicket on second ball of fifth over. Sunil Narine took this wicket. He made 17 runs and very good catch by Narayan Jagadeesan. The next batman from GT was Sai Sudarshan. Both player played very well on field. They made good shots on ground. In first power play GT made 54 runs losing 1 wicket. But when score board shown 100 runs for GT, Shubman Gill lose his wicket on 39 runs to Sunil Narine. The next batman Abhinav Manohar also goes easily on 14 runs. But from other end Sudarshan stand on field. He made his fifty just in 34 balls, Where GT was on 147 runs losing 2 wickets. But just in next over while playing big shot lose his wicket. He made 53 runs from 38 balls and wicket taken by Sunil Narine. At this time only 15 balls are remaining to complete 1st innings, and no one knows what will be next there on field. David Miller is next batman from GT. Now Vijay shankar attacked on KKR’s blowers. GT made 25 runs in this over and score board move on 184 runs. In last over he made his fifty just in 21 balls by hitting six to Shardul Thakur. Finally, GT made 204 runs on losing 4 wickets. GT given big chasing score to KKR of 205 runs.
The opening batman’s for KKR were Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Narayan Jagadeesan. Gurbaz was look in form but lose wicket on 15 runs. The next player on field was Venkatesh Iyer who is impact player. Narayan Jagadeesan also lose his wicket early. At this time score of KKR was 28 runs losing 2 wickets just in 4 overs. The next player on field was Nitish Rana. They made 100 runs partnership in 54 balls. But Nitish lose his wicket on 48 runs made in 29 balls missing fifty. Rinku Singh was next player in the field. After 15 overs KKR were made 149 runs and they require 56 runs in 30 balls. But in 16th over the set player Venkatesh Iyer lose his wicket on 83 runs made in 40 balls. The next player Andre Russell loses his wicket just on 1 run to Rashid Khan. This was important wicket from KKR. On next two balls Rashid Khan took wickets of Sunil Narine and Shardul Thakur. He made hattrick in this match. This is first hattrick in this IPL 2023. Unbelievable scenes as the players and the crowd go wild. GT came back into match. After 17 overs, score of KKR was 157 runs losing 7 wickets. The next over was from Mohammad Shami and he just gave 5 runs. At this time KKR needed 42 runs in 12 balls. It was looking very difficult at moment to win the match. In 19th over Rinku made 14 runs for KKR and moved score to 176 runs losing 7 wickets. In last over KKR need 29 runs while Umesh Yadav was on strike. Yash Dayal had ball and Umesh gave strike to Rinku on first ball. Then Rinku Hits six on second ball which was full toss and keeping the hopes of the Kolkata fans alive. Rinku hit six again on third ball also from Dayal which was also full toss and made pressure on Dayal. Fourth ball was also Full toss from Dayal and Rinku moved this into crowd. Now KKR require 10 runs in 2 balls. On fifth ball also, Rinku made six runs and moved match on very interesting mode. Now KKR required 4 runs from 1 ball. Last ball from Dayal was short and Rinku send him again into crowd. Rinku Singh has pulled off a remarkable run chase! He has smacked five sixes in the last 5 balls to take Kolkata beyond the finish line. Kolkata has won a game where they were down and out coming into the last over and after the Rashid Khan hat-trick. They needed 29 runs in the last over and Rinku Singh managed to hit fives sixes on the last five balls to make this a special day for Kolkata. We have witnessed something extraordinary here! Very well played from KKR and Rinku Singh in last over. KKR won the match by 3 wickets. A superb win from KKR.
