Hello everyone, Welcome back here. We take look on match 19 between Sunrisers Hyderabad Vs Kolkata Knight Riders. In this match Sunrisers won by 23 runs.
The match was held in Eden Gardens, Kolkata. Kolkata Knight Riders the toss and decided to bowl first. This is fourth match of SRH, in first and second match they lost against RR & LSG by 72 runs and by 5 wickets respectively while won third match against PBK by 8 wickets. This is fourth match of KKR and they lost first match against PBK by 7 runs and won second and third match by 81 runs and by 3 wickets respectively.
The opening batman from SRH was Harry Brook and Mayank Agarwal. on the first ball of the innings, by hitting four Brook showed his intention. Then Brook hit good shots on the ground. And moved fast up the score board. Meanwhile Mayank Agarwal lose his wicket to Andre Russell. Agarwal scored 9 runs. Rahul Tripathi was the next player on the field. As soon as he came, he hit four on the first ball. But he also lost his wicket on the last ball of the over. Andre Russell dismissal 2 batsman in his first over. Aiden Markram was next player on field. During the first power play, SRH scored 65 runs losing 2 wickets. Then Iden Markram took the lead. He played some brilliant shots. Meanwhile, Brook completed his half-century in 32 balls. After that, Markamya scored fast runs and completed his 50 runs in just 25 balls but lost his wicket on the very next ball. He played captaincy innings for the team. Abhishek Sharma was next player on field. After 14 overs, SRH was on 134 runs losing 3 wickets. From the other side, Brook was standing at the crease. Both batman made good shots and increase score board. Looking at both the batsmen, it seemed that SRH would score a huge score. But Sharma lost his wicket while trying to make a big shot. He scored 32 runs in only 17 balls by hitting three fours and 2 big sixes. Heinrich Klaasen was next player on field. In the last over, Brook completed his century on 55 balls. He is the first batsman of this IPL who scored a century.
He played good inning for him and for his team also. Finally, SRH made huge score of 228 runs in 20 overs, which is highest score in this IPL so far.
Taking target of 229 runs, Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Narayan Jagadeesan was opening batman from KKR. But not a good start for KKR. Gurbaz lost his wicket to Bhuvneshwar Kumar in the first over on zero run. Venkatesh Iyer, who was an impact player, arrived in the crease. It seemed that there would be a good partnership between both the batsmen, but Venkatesh Iyer lost his wicket on 10 runs. Sunil Narine also lost his wicket on the first ball. KKR was in big trouble. The score board was 20 runs losing 3 wickets in 3.3 overs. The captain Nitesh Rana was the next batsman on ground. they will have to play good inning to win match. After 4 overs, KKR’s score was 3 wickets for 22 runs. Both batman started to hit bowlers of SRH. Rana attacked the bowling of Umran Malik in the last over of the power play and added 28 runs. After 6 overs KKR was on 62 runs losing 3 wickets. But Narayan Jagdeesan lost his wicket in the process of scoring fast runs. He played a brilliant inning of 36 runs in 21 balls. Andre Russell was next player on field but not did well. Russell lost his wicket on just 3 runs. Rinku Singh was the next batsman, now everyone's eyes are fixed on him. Meanwhile, Captain Rana completed his 50 runs in 25 balls. After 12 overs score of KKR was 111 on losing 5 wickets. New batman Rinku singh took charge in hands. He started hitting to SRH’s bowlers. He played shot all over the ground. But in 17th over after hitting six to Natrajan, captain Nitesh Rana lose his wicket. While playing big shot he gave catch to Washington Sundar. He played important inning to his team and made 75 runs just in 41 balls with 5 fours and 6 sixes. At this time score of KKR was 165 runs losing 6 wickets in 16.3 overs. It was looking difficult for KKR to win this match. Next batman was Shardul thakur on field. He made some important runs. Rinku singh then completed his fifty in just 27 balls in 19th over. In last over KKR needed 32 runs. But finally, they made 205 runs losing 7 wickets. KKR very well tried to chase huge score but not get succeed. SRH won their second match. Harry Brook was the Player of the Match for his fantastic century.
